Our RoadMap

Tech Career Exploration Webinar Series

Organize a series of virtual webinars featuring women in tech who will share their career journeys, challenges, and successes. The goal is to inspire girls to pursue tech careers while providing a platform for them to ask questions and engage with industry professionals. Funds will be used for hosting platforms and small honorariums for speakers.

Mentorship Program Launch (Phase 1)

Establish a mentorship program where women in tech can volunteer to guide and inspire young girls interested in tech careers. This initiative will connect mentors and mentees for monthly virtual or in-person sessions. The funds will be used to set up a platform, facilitate mentor-mentee matching, and cover the costs of mentor incentives.

Digital Literacy Workshop Series (Phase 1)

Launch a series of workshops to teach basic digital literacy skills to girls in underserved communities. The series will cover computer usage, online safety, and basic coding skills. This project will also involve distributing educational materials and offering practical learning through hands-on sessions.

Community Coding Clubs

Start small, weekly coding clubs in local communities, where girls can learn basic programming skills through simple projects. The funds will cover materials, refreshments, and transportation for instructors. This grassroots approach ensures accessible tech education.

Tech Resource Library

Set up a small library with tech-related books, e-learning subscriptions, and access to resources for girls in underserved communities. This resource library will help spark interest in technology and provide ongoing support for learning.

Socks Drive for TechDaughters

A social campaign focusing on collecting and distributing socks to underprivileged girls. The aim is to offer comfort to those in need while raising awareness about TechDaughtersAfrica's mission to empower young women in technology. This could be done in collaboration with local communities and social influencers to maximize outreach.

Tablet Donation Campaign

    • Organize a donation campaign to provide affordable or donated tablets to underprivileged girls. These tablets will support their access to tech-based educational resources, e-learning platforms, and coding tutorials. This project will include sourcing the tablets, packaging them, and distributing them to local schools or community centers.
